Welcome to the Whitland Memorial Hall
Welcome to the Whitland Memorial Hall, located in the heart of Whitland, backing on to the towns Parc Dr Owen and very close to the towns Primary School.
It is an ideal place for a whole spectrum of functions; fund-raising events, public meetings, activities, shows, anniversary and birthday parties for adults and children. The Hall is available for hire seven days a week.
Whitland is located on the Carmarthenshire County border and as such is in an ideal position to serve the neighbouring communities from not only Carmarthenshire but also Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion. The town is surrounded by beautiful countryside and yet it is just off the A40, the main road linking London to Ireland. It holds a very central location, 20 minutes by car from Carmarthen (to the East), 30 minutes from Haverfordwest (to the West), 40 minutes to Cardigan and 30 minutes from Tenby (to the South).
There is a Bus stop just one minute away from the Hall and the Whitland Railway Station is only a four minute walk from the Hall.
The Whitland Memorial Hall was built in 1927 "to be used in perpetuity as a place of recreation and social intercourse for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Town of Whitland without distinction of sect or politics. The Hall houses the tablets with the names of the fallen in the World Wars, and every year on Remembrance Day a service is held there.
The Whitland Memorial Hall is a Registered Charity (No 518760) operating as a not for profit business, running solely on self generated revenue.
