Unemployed and looking for work?

The Whitland Job Club re-starts on Tuesday 16th September at the Whitland Memorial Hall

It will be open WEEKLY from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.
A place where jobseekers can get advice and support on finding work.

Run in partnership with other agencies (Job Centre Plus, Workways, 1 Sir Gâr, Career Wales, Debt and Benefit Advice, etc.) the Job Club will give people in Whitland and surrounding areas the chance to meet others looking for work, build new contacts, share job hunting experiences and get advice on interview techniques, CVs and even volunteering opportunities. If you are looking for work (full-time or part-time), need help setting up your Universal Job Match account, want some advice on the benefits available if out of work or unable to work because of illness, injury or disability then drop-in on Tuesday afternoon.
There is also free computer and internet access for job searches and if you don’t have a computer you can access your Universal Job Match Account for FREE using one of the club’s computers. Training and confidence building workshops or signpost to agencies who can offer help and support in employment and career opportunities is also available.

Householders! Do you need someone to do some odd jobs:

  • Paint the shed, garden bench, windows, etc.
  • Do the bits of gardening you dont enjoy
    • Mow the lawn
    • Cut the hedge
    • Weed the flower bed
    • Dig the vegetable patch
    • Rake up the leaves
  • Ironing
  • Help with the "spring clean
  • Help clear up the garage or shed
  • Etc. etc. etc.

Your business could do with an occasional extra pair of hands:

  • To get that job done, which has been waiting for months
  • To help out over a busy period in office admin, packing, sorting
  • To clear a work backlog

The Job Club is an initiative of the Whitland Memorial Hall started with the financial support of the Rural Development Fund Axis 3and its membership is free.
